Remote Control.

if life was controlled
by a mini remote
we could erase all our problems
and rewrite a note

we'd kill ourselves
and have someone rewind it
we'd lose something
then go back and find it

we could fast forward through things
we don't want to hear
or pause time and think twice
before being dare

if we could change what we've done
to something good
we'd change all our mistakes
if we could

all the difficulties
that passed us by
we could prevent them
and delete every cry

but because we don't have
any mini remotes
we can't rewind things
or rewrite notes

we must deal with problems
that come our way
life would be nothing
if we made it our way

I wrote this poem last night thinking that if for once I could control my life, I wouldn't get hurt as much.
