Life

Life
Is such a strange thing.
It can be unfathomably kind,
Or shockingly cruel.
It can give you all that you could ever have
asked for,
And then,
In one moment,
Take it all away.
It can strip you down,
And build you up.
It can lead you down a predictable path,
Or hook you around
In shocking twists of fate.
We will never understand life
Or death for that matter.
All that we can know
For absolute certain
Is that life works.
There is a plan in place for each and every one of us.
And, though it may break us down to shreds and throw us in the flames,
It will
always work out
In the
end.

I wrote this poem when I was in seventh grade during study block. I write poety when I'm bored too.
